[His face lights up a little when he hears his voice, coming out of her device this time.]

[He says, cutting himself off when the PokéGear sounds and startles him yet again. At least he only jumps a little this time...]

_{[Eyebrow-raised look in turn, dude.]}

You pick it up and you touch the symbol that looks like the one I just touched.

Then you hold it to your ear and I'll walk over ... there.

_{[She gestures to somewhere sort of behind her.]}

[He looks a bit skeptical...What's the point in her walking away? He doesn't really get it, but...she's been right about pretty much everything else so far, so...he does as he's told, pressing the button and holding the Gear up to his ear.]

_{[She signals him to wait, goes a few paces away - her Porygon absently hovering away in the background forever - and then speaks into her own gear.]}

Okay. Can you hear me?

[Now that gets a jump out of him.

[He gasps, whipping around and looking for the source of her voice...]

[And...staring back at the Gear.]

_{[She calls to him, and not into the gear - they're not that far apart, after all, but just enough to show him what the phone function really is. Having said that, she keeps talking into the reciever.]}
