[A good two weeks after first arriving in the world of Pokémon and Kovu no longer needs to chew on his PokéGear in order to get it to work. Of course, he's not the greatest cinematographer in the world, but...having only been human for a couple of weeks, a little sloppiness with his camera work can be forgiven...

[One thing that will look familiar is his facial expression, largely irritated and mildly confused.

[He lets out a huff.]

Is anyone missing one of these things?

[He asks, turning his Gear- not without some difficulty- toward the ground, where a rather smug-looking shinx is lying on its back and swatting at the camera with both paws.

[The feed goes back to Kovu just in time to catch an eyeroll.]

It started following me and Skitty around yesterday and now it won't leave us alone.

[Judging by her indignant meowing in the background, he's really the only one who seems to mind...

[Shooting her a look.]

And she won't attack it.

[Sigh.]

I thought you had to catch these things to get them.

Well, sometimes they just wanna follow you! Like, maybe they just want a trainer, or sometimes they get along with another one of your Pokemon.
Either way, Shinx are good Pokemon!

You don't always need to catch a Pokémon for it to want to come with you. Most of the Pokémon who are with me came because they wanted to, not because I caught them.

Yeah? Well, what if I don't want them to.

You can't change what they want to do. You can tell them that you don't want them to come with you, but it sounds like it isn't listening. You might have to just let it follow you.

Why don't you want another Pokémon with you?

Well, my starter was madly in love with me from the start, even though I pretty much treated him like dirt. Sometimes they don't have the best judgment, what can I say.
